Kenko Miura’s entry to NASCAR WHELEN EURO SERIES
Following various success in Asian F3 Series (2004) , Asian Formula Renault (2006), Formula Asia 2.0(AFOS/Formula Renault/2008), Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia and GT Series, Kenko Miura will enter as the first Japanese driver NASCAR WHELEN EURO SERIES in 2017 season.
While acting as instructor for manufacturer at development evaluation, sales training and driving academy, Kenko visited Thailand Super Series, Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS) and other series to explore opportunities for his race career and he finally confirmed his entry at NASCAR WHELEN EURO SERIES with Alex Caffi Motorsports and it will be the debut of Toyota Camry at the Euro Series.
The scenario of seeing Toyota Camry for the first time at the battlefield of Ford and Chevrolet race cars – NASCAR Euro Series, is created by a mutual consent between NASCAR American and Euro Series as it is a popular model at American Series.
For Kenko, due to clash in schedule, he will spend his first season at NASCAR WHELEN EURO SERIES as follow:
April 7-9 / Ricardo Tormo Circuit, Spain
July 14-16 / Venray Raceway, The Netherlands
October 12-15 / Zolder Circuit, Belgium
Kenko Miura commented “We had completed shakedown at Fontenay Comte Circuit in France on March 23 and I’m ready for action. Looking forward to tell people in Japan the acttractivness of NASCAR.”
